Easter Changes Everything

Easter Changes Everything

Easter Changes Everything

Easter isn't just a holiday on the calendar. It isn't about outfits, baskets, or traditions - as sweet as those can be.

Easter is the foundation of our faith.

It's the reminder that death was defeated, hope was restored, and grace was given freely through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Easter Changes Everything.

Before the Resurrection, There Was the Cross

We can't talk about Easter without acknowledging the weight of the cross.

Jesus endured betrayal, suffering and death - not because He had to, but because He chose to.

"But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8

The cross reminds us that love is sacrificial. That grace is costly. And that redemption was intentional.

The Power of an Empty Tomb

The resurrection is where sorrow turns to joy and fear gives way to hope.

The stone was rolled away. The grave was defeated. Jesus rose- just as He said He would.

"He is not here; He has risen, just as He said." - Matthew 28:6

Because of Easter:

  • Sin no longer has the final word
  • Death no longer holds power
  • Hope is alive

The resurrection assures us that no situation is too broken for God to redeem.

Hope for Everyday Life

Easter isn't just about what happened then - it's about what it means now.

Because Jesus lives:

  • We can face fear with faith
  • We can walk through hardship with hope
  • We can trust that God is still at work, even when we can't see it

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead." - 1 Peter 1:3

Easter reminds us that new beginnings are possible - even after seasons of loss, doubt, or waiting.

Teaching the Next Generation the Truth of Easter

For families, Easter is an opportunity to pass down more than tradition.

It's a chance to teach our children:

  • Why the cross matters
  • What the resurrection means
  • That faith isn't just something we celebrate - it's something we live

When kids understand Easter, they learn that faith is rooted in truth, sacrifice, and hope that lasts.

Living in the Light of the Resurrection

At Grit N Grace, we believe Easter is something we carry with us - not something we leave behind once the day passes.

It's lived out when we:

  • Choose faith over fear
  • Extend grace instead of judgement
  • Persevere with hope, even when life is hard

Because the same power that raised Jesus from the grave is at work in us.

"The spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you." - Romans 8:11

He is Risen - and That Changes Everything

Easter is our reminder that God keeps His promises.

That light overcomes darkness. That love overcomes death. That hope is never lost.

He is risen - and because of that, we walk forward in faith, grit, and grace.

"I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me will live, even though they die." - John 11:25
